Our Approach

How We Work Differently

Family law requires more than procedural knowledge. It requires the discretion to handle what is unsaid as carefully as what is spoken.

We Listen First

Before any document is prepared or strategy discussed, we take time to understand the full picture — including the things that are difficult to say.

Strict Confidentiality

Everything shared within these walls remains within these walls. Our commitment to client privacy extends well beyond standard professional obligations.

Civil & Syariah Expertise

Our practitioners are qualified across both civil and Syariah jurisdictions, so you receive guidance suited to your specific legal framework.

Measured Engagement

We favour mediation and dignified resolution where circumstances allow. Adversarial approaches are reserved for situations that genuinely require them.

Written Clarity

After each consultation you receive a written summary of the options discussed — no verbal-only advice that leaves you uncertain of your position.

Transparent Timelines

We keep you informed of what to expect at each stage and are candid when circumstances may shift the timeline.

A Private Conversation Costs Nothing More Than an Hour

Many clients arrive uncertain of what they need. That is precisely why the first session exists — to clarify your situation and the options available, without obligation.

Questions & Answers

Common Questions

These are questions we hear often. If yours is not here, please reach out — we are happy to respond before any formal engagement.

What happens during the initial consultation?
The session is entirely private. You share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and we listen without interruption. By the end we will have clarified your position under applicable law and outlined the realistic options available. A brief written note summarising those options is provided afterwards.
Do you handle both civil and Syariah family law matters?
Yes. Our practitioners hold qualifications in both civil law and Syariah law practice in Malaysia. We can advise on which jurisdiction applies to your circumstances and guide you accordingly throughout the process.
How long does a divorce proceeding typically take?
Timelines vary considerably depending on complexity, jurisdiction, and whether both parties are in agreement. An uncontested civil divorce may be concluded within several months; contested matters or those involving asset division and custody disputes will generally take longer. We provide an honest assessment at the outset and keep you updated as the matter progresses.
Is everything I share with you confidential?
Absolutely. Solicitor-client privilege applies to all communications between you and our practitioners. Nothing is disclosed to any third party without your explicit instruction, except in the narrow circumstances required by law.
What is the difference between your service arrangements?
The consultation (RM 260) is a standalone session — suitable if you are at an early stage and want to understand your position before committing to anything further. The divorce and separation arrangement (RM 745) covers a defined proceeding from start to close. The comprehensive counsel arrangement (RM 1,400) is structured for clients with ongoing or multi-layered family matters who benefit from a continuing relationship with their legal adviser.
Do I need to prepare documents before the first session?
You are welcome to bring any documents you consider relevant — such as correspondence, marriage certificates, or previous court orders — but it is not a requirement. Many clients arrive with nothing in hand. The first session can still be useful in establishing a clear picture of the situation.
